In the Openwave Mobility roll-out, NetSuite Professional Services led an accelerated implementation to deploy the NetSuite cloud technology as the business foundation. Openwave Mobility had a tight timeline. Marlin Equity Partners had acquired the company in early May, and under terms of the acquisition, Openwave Mobility had a limited timeframe to migrate legacy data from an Oracle ERP instance to a new financials /ERP solution. The 2½-month NetSuite implementation was accomplished in roughly one-quarter the time that would have been required to deploy a comparable on-premise ERP system, while avoiding a large up-front capital investment and ongoing maintenance costs of in-house servers, software and storage.
