Perfecting Education Management

The teachers’ pet technology: Education Perfect consulted with real teachers from the beginning, co-designing a platform that makes life easier for teachers, students and schools. The result is its intuitive platform that remains one of the only edtech solutions on the market to combine multiple subjects, giving teachers a holistic view of student progress. More than 1.2 million students at 4,000 schools in over 80 countries use the Education Perfect platform for learning and revision.

Efficiency becomes imperative: As it scaled around the world, Education Perfect had to navigate the complexities of working with a multitude of education systems, like differences in curricula and school funding levels. There were issues internally, too: The company’s original accounting solution, Xero, didn’t provide a consolidated view of subsidiaries, which meant financial information had to be extracted from the platform and manually consolidated in a spreadsheet.

A masterclass in time-savings: Education Perfect simply needed to find ways to run more efficiently. The business deployed NetSuite OneWorld, which gave it faster and more accurate reporting on one consolidated P&L—saving up to two days during the month-end close. The business has also made use of third-party systems for expense management and forecasting and modelling.

OE stands for overseas expansion: Education Perfect plans to continue its international growth ambitions, taking comfort in NetSuite’s simplicity and flexibility when setting up new offices. It’s also looking to extend its product lines beyond schools and into the direct-to-consumer market.
