Furniture Wholesaler Finds Comfort With Cloud Tech

interior360 is one of the leading suppliers of furniture to hotels, restaurants and cafés in the Middle East, importing chairs, original artworks and made-to-measure sofas from Europe to some 300 customers in the region. The business has been expanding operations amid an industry boom: In Dubai, there are now over 12,000 restaurants for a population of just over 3 million. interior360’s ability to seize this massive opportunity while maintaining impeccable customer service is partly due to its automation of quote and invoice creation.

“Instead of us needing three people for handling administrative tasks, converting an estimate into a sales order can now be done at the touch of a button.” Samuel Herre, Managing Director, interior360

Hospitality and Construction Boom Drives Growth

Importing style
In under five years, interior360 has grown from two employees to 30. It sells from a range of over 6,000 contract furniture products, like plush outdoor armchairs, chairs, sofas and sleek barstools, in multiple colour and style combinations. Since 2015, the company has delivered more than 600 projects across the GCC.
Comfort and reliability
With so many product variables, as well as various prices and deadlines to manage, interior360 needed help generating consistent and reliable quotes. High-end hospitality customers—especially those across the Middle East—expect quality service, so efficient systems were deemed essential for sustaining the company’s growth.
Automated ease
Since implementing NetSuite ERP, interior360 has saved time and avoided mistakes: Teams no longer use Excel to manually create quotes and invoices, many over 70 lines long. Thanks to the transparency in NetSuite’s quote-to-order process, interior360 can avoid the delays and costs that formerly came with errors during the ordering process.
Spreading out
As the business continues to expand—particularly in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Qatar, where hotels and restaurants are opening everywhere—interior360 is setting its sights on improving its manufacturing capabilities while adding more apps and modules to its NetSuite system. It also plans to expand those manufacturing capabilities and launch an online furniture shop in Europe.
