Tooling Up for Growth

Overseas expansion: IWISS has maintained a year-on-year growth rate of 45% since 2014, with an ever-increasing proportion of revenue coming from marketplaces like Amazon, Alibaba and Walmart. As the company grew, it set up overseas warehouses in the U.S., Japan and Australia to manage its growing inventory and meet customers’ expectations for increasingly fast fulfillment.

Blunt instruments: IWISS’s previous business management software, Kingdee, supported only its Chinese operation and lacked the functionality needed to view and track inventory in overseas warehouses, making real-time reporting impossible. IWISS managed its CRM system, Zoho, on a local server in its head office, so it couldn’t adequately support remote work or international employees.

Right tools for the job: IWISS implemented NetSuite ERP, integrating it with Eccang for cross-border ecommerce and Guanyi for domestic ecommerce. All financial, inventory and customer data now feed into NetSuite. Since deployment, IWISS has improved management efficiency (total sales divided by average inventory) by 60%, manufacturing efficiency (total manufacturing costs divided by number of units produced) by 50%, and output per employee (company revenue divided by number of employees) by 30%.

Connecting a global team: NetSuite provides a unified platform for IWISS's warehouse logistics, manufacturing and brand management teams, each of which is based in a separate location. Staff now collaborate globally, using the same set of numbers to make company-wide decisions like those regarding reorder points for each region. IWISS plans to implement NetSuite OneWorld next year to automate its multi-currency transactions.
